The board of the New York chapter of GBW is staffed entirely by volunteers. The current board comprises of the following members:

Celine Lombardi is a bookbinder in New York City. She is a graduate of the North Bennet Street School in Boston, and was the 2012 Van Leir/Stein Family Scholar at the Center for Book Arts in New York, where she is also currently teaching.

Carol Margreither Mainardi is a professional artist and Sole Proprietor of Prints and Books and She is involved with professional conservation of books, artwork on paper, museum quality housing of artifacts, and gallery displays.  Carol offers individual and group instruction in the areas of bookbinding, printmaking, and decorative papers. Clients include Simon & Schuster, New York Botanical Garden, Sony, and lovers of fine art and books in the metropolitan area. Carol gained her love of the book arts and graphic design at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia from 1985-1990. She earned her BFA in printmaking from William Paterson University in 1991.  Carol has been a member of the Guild of Book Workers since 1991.

Jane Mahoney works at the Gladys Marcus Library at the Fashion Institute of Technology/SUNY. She learned her binding and restoration skills at the Center for Books Arts, studying there four years. She has an extensive background in studio arts and holds a BA with a concentration in Fine Art. She sells books and boxes under Bongo Beat Books and has both private and institutional clients for enclosures, repairs and restoration.  Jane has been a member of GBW since 1993.
